[Design] Calendar ideas

sort of on the same topic:

i have a tendency to access my PIM on many different computers: laptop,
workstation, homestation, what i would like to be able to do is to login
in to a machine and have it sync up with the last machine i was working
on so i now have a complete set of all my PIM items on the local
machine. if for some reason (ie travel) my (laptop) machine is not connected
then it will just wait until a connection can be made.

Of course in an ideal PIM i wouldnt have to specify what all the
machines are that i will work on. Much like when i login to IM
(instant messenger) it knows all my buddy lists. (i realize that
IM's use a client server model, but for the ideal PIM a p2p model
would be more applicable).
