Open Source Applications Foundation

[Design] Introduction

James Tauber Mon, 21 Oct 2002 02:00:15 UT

I just joined the list so thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm co-founder and chief scientist at US-based mValent although I live in
Perth, Western Australia.

I was part of the original group at W3C that helped develop XML and I've
been working with Python for four years and RDF for three.

I've worked on a number of open source projects. I started FOP (XSL-FO
typesetting engine which I donated to the Apache Software Foundation) and
Redfoot (an RDF application framework written in Python).

Chandler is a very close fit to my original vision behind Redfoot and the
fact that RDF and Python are being used makes it even closer to my heart.
