there was a product called tornado notes, the general interface concepts
always seemed useful for email. I have had a "back-burner" project
called whirlwind that would accomplish this (in python, btw)
one other thing I think MS does real well is installation. installing
python proper is easy, but zope add-ins leave a lot to be desired. I'd
prefer something that is simple like ms (or winamp plugins)
