[Design] rendezvous

hi,

like so many, i'm new to this project today after the slashdot article. 
it sounds like a stunning plan and i can't wait to see the fruits of it.

i was wondering whether the project architects have considered apple's 
(now open source) rendezvous (zero-conf) networking as a local 
discovery component?

apple have implemented this quite well into iChat as a proof of 
concept. any client on the local network 'appears' through rendezvous. 
this could be quite interesting as far as a lot of the calendar an 
address book sharing that is in the (chandler) spec.
