There is essentially never-used code for free-busy queries in Chandler 
Desktop, written a few years ago, that's currently commented out.

I don't have a handle on how much effort it would take to get that code 
working again; I'm afraid it would be a fair amount of effort, even for 
someone in-the-know about what's going on in Chandler's code-base.

It's a pity there aren't more CalDAV free-busy clients out there!  I 
think, though I'm not sure, that Mulberry (which has become free since 
we worked on free/busy in Chandler) may do freebusy, have you tried that?
