[cosmo-dev] Cosmo Javascript structure

Hi folks

Randy noticed that our tarballs have gotten rather large lately. This
has coincided with some frustration on my part with the current
javascript directory structure due to differences between our way of
doing things and Dojo best practices.

As a result I'd like to move things around a little, specifically
making our javascript its own sub-project. Randy and I talked about
this a week or so ago and concurred that it would be a good idea, and
it is a nice first step toward making our ui more backend independent.
An added benefit of this is that it will encourage developers to test
against unit tests rather than just the live server.

I haven't worked out all the details, but wanted to make sure there
isn't any strident opposition to the idea on this list. I'll post more
details once things have been moved, and give opportunities for
dissent then as well.

Let me know if you have and questions or thoughts

Travis
