[cosmo-dev] Hub updating to 0.8 branch

After today's 0.8.1 bugs on Hub, I'm going to update Hub to Cosmo 0.8 
branch, r6095.

These fixes have not been validated independently, but the patches look 
to be low-impact and visibly correct.  While the fixes have not been 
validated except by the developers, using my best judgement, I'm going 
to fix these issues for the Hub users right now.

My thanks to Cosmo devs who jumped on these issues today providing fixes.
