[Cosmo-dev] Date Picker

What's not clear to me is why users aren't clicking on the calendar
canvas to add events.
+ Not enough visual feedback that the calendar canvas is interactive?
+ Not enough hours are displayed, you need to scroll a lot to get
events onto the canvas in the right time slot?
Apple iCal does just fine with an interactive calendar canvas +
pretty good date/time auto-formatting in the date entry fields.
I think we all agree that we need to improve user experience for
creating new events (to drive adoption). It's more a question of how
to go about doing that. The detail view is overcrowded as it is and I
think we can't underestimate the cost of adding more widgetry to the UI.
So one question I have about this dojo widget:
+ Does it require adding a button/graphic to the UI? or can it just
drop down when you click in the date entry fields?
+ Is it fast? There's nothing more annoying than a date picker that
takes a long time to pop-up.
