Would a "static" screen shot work just as well as loading the ui, with
careful attention to positive, friendly wording?
I noticed that twitter and some facebook apps to a good job of being
light and friendly when telling the user that the app is down. It has a
surprisingly positive affect on me personally!
Uh, and shouldn't this conversation be on the design list?
Cheers,
Katie
