Here's an update on the status of the Cosmo releases:

* Due to a bad bug with dates and a fix for the iCal3 collection with
spaces in the name problem, we've done a Cosmo 0.8.2

* Initial testing has uncovered some severe bugs in Cosmo 0.9.
Probably the most severe of these is bug 11213 <https://
bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11213>, which makes
overlays unusable. In theory, we should have two choices:

1) back out the overlay feature and put it into 0.10
2) fix bug 11213

Unfortunately, Matthew is at the FLOSS Usability Sprint through the
weekend so he won't have a lot of time to look at this bug, or to
work on backing out all the overlay related changes. So unless we
can figure out how to back out overlays, I think we are going to have
to wait until 11213 can be fixed.

* In the meantime people have been working on 0.10. I'd like to
propose that people stop working on bugs/features for 0.10 at the end
of the day, Friday, Nov 2, and then spend the next week beefing up
test cases - especially in the UI, but really all over the system,
and that we then send 0.10 to QA on Friday, Nov 9. The only
exception I would make is for fixes to improve our compatibility with
iCal3, which should be a high priority for us right now.

Ted
