Hi Bobby,

This looks good as a first approximation.  I think that the really  
important part of this is the enumeration of the Topics and  
Messages.   An expansion on this part would include: which subsystems  
create what messages on what Topics and when.   That kind of thing is  
as much a part of the API for the app as the class/prototype defs and  
the method/function signatures.    And it's the kind of thing that is  
likely to be difficult to suss out from the code.   I just spent some  
time trying to do the same thing w/ the Chandler notification stuff  
(which has changed a bit since I worked on it), and a similar kind of  
guide would have been really helpful.

Other than, this seems like a perfectly sensible proposal.   I'd be  
curious to hear Matthew's thoughts on the Topic and Message breakdowns.
