Just so I'm clear on this: the "namespace UUID" PJE was suggesting is  
an EIM-only construct, right? In other words, Chandler is free to use  
whatever it wants for UUIDs, so long as it can reconstruct the  
namespace UUID.

If we switch to such a scheme (and it seems like a reasonable plan to  
me), we should make sure that changes to the master's start time work  
correctly (since the recurrenceId of the modifications will change).
