Here's the summary of the activity on cosmo-dev for the week of

Matthew Eernisse wanted to understand the usage of dojo.lang.mixin in
cal.js
+ Travis Vachon explained that Matthew had things confused and that
the use of dojo.lang.mixin was to make sure that self pointed to the
correct Javascript object.
+ This lead to several discussions:
a) whether to use objects which are mostly namespaces as "domain" or
"business" objects
b) the use of the name self, which is reserved.

satisfy the ASL licensing requirements - the advice that Ted gave

Jeremy Epstein agreed that it would be good to try to hide his
viewporting code under conventional UI mechanisms like panels. This
would likely mean that resizing would need to happen out of an
ordered "display list" somewhere. He wanted to know if that was ok.
