Making sure I have my head around this...

When cosmo imports iCalendar events (via CalDAV clients, or via webcal), 
  I assume cosmo creates an "item" for each event 
(object/record/whathaveyou), and assigns it a UUID.

- Is the UUID derived from the iCal UID?
- Is the iCal UID preserved?
