[Cosmo-dev] testing with the same .ics files

I recently discovered that if two Chandler clients import the same .ics
file, that the uuids of the items imported will be the same in both
clients. This means if both clients publish to the same server, they
have access to each other's items and may see unexpected results.

For example if two users download the same .ics file from a public
source (say a baseball schedule or something) and publish, the clients
will end up unknowingly sharing these items.

The same thing goes for testing where a lot of clients are using the
same .ics file to create collections.

This doesn't seem very desirable. I talked to Jeffrey and he said we
might have to live with this for preview due to time constraints. There
is not much Cosmo can do because of the "one big item soup" design that
assumes items are globally unique. Thoughts?
