As you know we have been dumping a lot of time into the Windmill
framework to secure the future of UI testing for Cosmo.
We have finally reached a stage where I can gather some initial
results and will be writing tests and collecting results all next week.
My first stab can be viewed as the latest entry in my journal:
http://wiki.osafoundation.org/Journal/AdamChristianNotes
This afternoon a directory containing the first set of tests, and
empty files for tests that will be written next week, will be checked
into the Cosmo repository by Mikeal.
Anyone can go and try to play with Windmill, set it up and run/write
their own tests.. all feedback is welcome.
You can access it at: http://windmill.osafoundation.org/trac
Mandatory development on Windmill before 0.6.1 includes a full set of
verification functions. Next week I will be implementing the ability
to verify text or dom attributes are present in a specified piece of
the dom tree to allow for verification as we test 0.6.0. A lot needs
to be done with the UI, and also at the very top of the list is to
try and lobby mde for some of his time to help me make drag and drop
work, as somehow in my port from selenium and combination of reworks
on the Cosmo canvas this functionality is broken.
Thanks for everyones patience.
Adam
