I almost sent an email saying the same thing last week, then it occurred
to me that most people don't actually use the task list feature of their
calendar app.  For these people, having events suddenly disappear from
their calendar app if someone stamped an event as a task would be pretty
annoying.

How about we just store a flag on inbound VTODOs saying they were
originally tasks?
