[cosmo-dev] DOM ids for wayward elements

Howdy.

Bobby (among others) have previously advocated doing this -- there was 
this mailing list thread that starts here:

The thread didn't end with any decision.

It will actually be a little more work for me (I'll happily explain in 
detail as to why to anyone interested :)), but if everyone else thinks 
it's a good idea, I'll be happy to play along.
