and how it was making it difficult for him to finish his work on

ought to be run before declaring RC status.  The list discussed  
included protocol and migration tests.  There was also a discussion

Travis Vachon reported more issues with Unicode, this time with  
characters outside the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP)
+ Randy Letness reported that MySQL5 can't store these characters,  
and suggested punting on that support.
