[Cosmo-dev] Magic URL's

Hi folks,

I know that this is a "favorite" topic, but I just learned that we
are running out of time to get the Chandler side changes for this
feature into Chandler alpha4, so I'm going to see if we can come to
some agreement on what we should do here. The discussion of Magic
URL's petered out once we started discussing merging Cosmo and Scooby
in earnest.

- John's original statement of the problem: <http://
lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/cosmo-dev/2006-June/000893.html>,
which includes repurposing GET on CalDAV resources.

As far as I can tell the following additional solutions were proposed:

- An RSS autodiscovery like idea: <http://lists.osafoundation.org/
pipermail/cosmo-dev/2006-June/000907.html>

- An alt link in the atom feed for a particular calendar: <http://
lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/cosmo-dev/2006-June/000933.html>

- The "magic" 301 redirecting url <http://lists.osafoundation.org/
pipermail/cosmo-dev/2006-June/000964.html>

- Embedding the autodiscovery document in the Scooby/Web UI page for
a calendar collection <http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/cosmo-
dev/2006-July/001028.html>

Given that Cosmo and Scooby are now merged, what are people's
thoughts about the kind of solution we ought to pursue?

Ted
