yea i don't think this is the case. however, instant messaging is
another vehicle for communications that is being adopted in new and
unconventional ways. providing several ways for alarm notifications to
be delivered - email, im, sms, etc - opens the gates for third parties
to build a wide variety of tools to integrate with cosmo.

not really. i just want to get alarm notifications in my im client
rather than my email client ;)
