Actually, on second thought, this probably won't affect the parts of  
the data model that will be worked on in the sharing-data-model  
branch, so this probably isn't true.

That leaves me only asking for a sanity check from the more  
experienced server/ persistence goons. Does this sound like the  
correct approach?
