I was reading a recent LWN.net issue, and noted they picked up the Cosmo
Three things of note:
* They put it under "Miscellaneous (Development)"; I dunno if they have a
better category, though none from that week fit better.
* While I've gotten used to all lower-case announcements, it still looks a
little weird when extracted and put into a standalone page.
* Let's try to avoid the common release-note problem of not including at
least 1 sentence explaining what the product does. The editor of the page
went and tracked down language to provide context to their readers, but
the announcement itself leaves it up in the air.
Cosmo is a calendar server. With your favorite calendar program
(Chandler, Apple iCal, Mozilla Sunbird, or any other WebDAV or CalDAV
enabled client), you can share your calendar with other people by publishing
it to Cosmo. Once your calendar is stored in the server, others can
subscribe to it – and even modify it, if you have given them permission.
