Does a sync *merge* all the changes from client B to client A?  If yes,
what happens when there is a conflict? Yes I am spoilt by versioning
systems like svk and svn - but just thinking about the same problems
encountered in the versioning space. 

If my understanding about the EIM and morse code implementation is
correct - it provides a nice way to synchronize only the changes and we
are dealing with different versions in that case.
