yea, we've noted this issue. caldav doesn't seem to be a high priority
for the evolution team, which is quite frustrating, since several of
our users want to use evolution with cosmo.

thanks for your patch. i've committed it to the trunk with r2831.
note that there is one other interop bug with evolution. it sends an
If-None-Match header when DELETEing a resource, which causes the
operation to fail. <http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349573>
describes the problem and provides a patch, but it doesn't look like
the patch has been accepted.
