OK, I'm both amused and frustrated by the events over the weekend. I
installed the 0.3 bundle containing the 0.2 Scooby snapshot. On my wife's
laptop I was able to login and view the calendar using Evolution, and to
create appointments. I figured all was set.
I then went about upgrading my desktop machine from FC4 to FC5 (which was,
in itself, an exercise...) so as to more easilt get Evolution 2.6. The
highest version available for FC4 is 2.2; while I could go outside of the
RPM system and download/build the 2.6 version myself I had been looking for
an excuse to upgrade anyway.
I can connect to the calendar, but cannot view it. I can create an
appointment; it is viewable for a few minutes, and then disappears. At that
point, I can see the appointment via the Scooby interface, but not via
Evolution. For some reason, the logs are showing a 501 error on the REPORT
command.
By the way, what *is* the proper URL to use? I've tried two different ones,
with similar behaviour (posting but not viewing appointments):
http://fqdn:port/cosmo/home/user/
http://fqdn:port/cosmo/home/user/Scooby/
The major difference seems to be that the first creates objects at the same
level as the Scooby container, the second inside. But all the events seem
to show up on the calendar. Is there a preferred standard? The Wiki FAQ
seems to recommend:
http://fqdn:port/cosmo/home/user/collection
But that doesn't seem to make a difference in viewing. Any suggestions?
