that reduction of complexity is why i've been pushing
atom+atompub+hcalendar as a preferable alternative to caldav for web
services integration in cosmo :)

it's also why i have been holding forth on the need for tools to allow
regular people to author and consume hcalendar event info in their
standard publishing and browsing tools, without breaking them out of
the workflows they're used to.
