I"m in agreement.  And to be clear (this is nothing personal with  
respect to
Charles and Randy):  ensuring that the project functions in  
meritocratic manner
is very important, which is why we are using a sandbox instead of a  
branch.   When
the time comes, Brian and the other Cosmo committers will make the  
decision about
whether to incorporate the hibernate project into the existing code  
base.   In the
meantime, the sandbox mechanism is a way for OSAF to provide some  
support to make
it easier to collaborate closely with Charles and Randy.   We won't  
do this for every set
of committers that comes along, but assuming the Charles and Randy  
want to move
quickly and stay in sync with the Cosmo trunk (including the merge),  
giving them a sandbox
is a good solution.
