Hmmm, seems odd that the remotely-accessible backup format would switch each
time the backend switches.  Maybe inevitable, but a format that more purely
expressed the semantics of the Cosmo data model seems more in order.

The sharing format yes seems a leading contender.  Would that mean I'd have
to wait until the format is finalized and implemented before I got backups?
;)  Truth be told, I'd rather do backups this way that do MySQL backups.
