it's a sharing server that is calendar-aware and offers access to
multiple protocols (caldav now, atom soon). there will definitely be
sharing features that are not relevant to caldav (but that we may
extend webdav to provide access to).

yeah, you're right. this is probably the biggest area of contention
right now, since it seems like this type of access control is not a
high priority for chandler. it's still a high priority for me, though,
and if i can't get it added to the osaf development schedule, i'll
encourage those who want the feature to submit patches.
