I thought I would send this out so everyone can follow our progress
on the Cosmo planning. In order to set the stage for developing a
product roadmap, I have been putting together a wiki page that will
track the inventory of "stickies" - high-level features (identified
so far) we want to implement in Cosmo (UI and back-end work). PLEASE
NOTE: We realize that in certain cases we have only been thinking
about Beta goals and in other instances we have been thinking more
long term The goal is to use this to build a roadmap for Beta and
beyond.

I am getting this info from a number of sources...

+ The planning exercise we did during the Cosmo sprint for the Casual
Collaborator.
+ Hosted service and Admin requirements - discussions with Jared.
+ A set of other features which we want to have in Cosmo - based on a
list we brainstormed with BCM during the sprint.

A few important points about this wiki page....

+ It's NOT done yet which is why you will see sections missing and
features that have no "stickie" estimates. I am sending it out now so
anyone interested can follow along with the progress.
+ None of these have have been prioritized yet. This step is simply
about gathering all the info and noting dependencies.
+ The "stickie" swags are approximate...just a best guess. Our
granularity is that 1 stickie = 2 weeks so even a feature that takes
a day will be estimated as 1 stickie for planning purposes.
+ We know there is probably stuff missing.

Next steps...

+ The PPD team will work on prioritizing the casual collaborator
features and bucketing them in stages.
+ Ted with support from the Cosmo team will draft the list of Cosmo
items with suggestions for priorities and stickie estimates. There
will be dialog with PPD regarding the target user groups for these
features (happening on the list now).
+ Get "stickie" estimates for some of the other hosted service
requirements.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Sheila
