well, no, this is foxmarks needing to get passwords out of cosmo so
they can migrate their users to whatever their new system is going to
be.

i think you're conflating the small issue of making passwords
available via cmp with the large issue of backup and restore of user
data.

that's true, but backup/restore is a separate feature.

you don't need to argue for it. we know you need backup/restore. we're
committed to giving it to you. this patch is not intended to provide
any part of that feature.
