I gather that was the point of the Chandler re-arch project aka
Chandler 2 - they realised that the structure of Chandler was not easy
to work on and was encumbered with the provisions for ambitious
features that were never realised. Unfortunately Chandler 2 seems to
have dragged to a standstill at a point where it is not quite a
working system that others can start adding to.
