[chandler-users] Building on Ubuntu 8.10 AMD64

I'm building Chandler from source on my 64-bit Intrepid Ibex system. I ran into this error during make world:

            EGG CREATION FAILED
… 


A long shot … not on Linux, but FWIW the same error occurred some time ago in <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11645>
