Within that list <https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12472>
is now verified fixed. Many thanks.

I aim to test on Leopard on PowerPC (probably a Mac Mini) and maybe, Windows
XP. Using a copy of my repository that's normally on Leopard on Intel. With
an eye on OSAF Bugzilla keywords http://tinyurl.com/footprint-osaf
footprint and http://tinyurl.com/perf-osaf performance , the PowerPC
experience with my repository (48660 records from 15608 items) could be
interesting ;)

More reasons to have separate copies of backup.chex (I use Time Machine):
* an apparently good export to backup.chex, when Chandler quits/exits, may
not always equal that backup.chex being usable at import time
— bug 12724 became a duplicate of 12472
— whilst 12472 is now verified fixed, the discovery of an unusable
backup.chex reduced my trust in any file/directory named 'backup'
— echoes of enhancement bug 12518, attention to use of the expression
'backup' for anything that is less than 100% reliable
* binary_backup.tgz may become useless, that's bug 12693.
Belts and braces, everyone!
Cheers
Graham
