[chandler-users] How do you use Chandler's email functionality?

Dear Chandler Users,

I'm writing to ask if any of you can share your perspective on  
Chandler's email functionality and how you use it.  Specifically, I'm  
interested in stories related to the use of Chandler to facilitate  
small-group collaboration.  For my part, I'm having some trouble  
grokking the utility of email in this context, since it seems like  
moving items in and out of shared collections and updating the items  
themselves effectively does what I would otherwise be doing with email  
(i.e., sending and receiving messages to and from colleagues, with  
ideas, suggestions, edits, etc.).  Basically, most of the use cases in  
which I find myself wanting to use Chandler as a mail client involve  
messaging to people outside my workgroup.  Of course, it's precisely  
those scenarios in which Chandler's limited email capabilities are a  
liability.

So are any of you using email in Chandler as a bona fide two-way  
communication tool and as more than just a way to move items from your  
mail client into Chandler?  I have not exhaustively searched the  
Chandler wiki for such examples, but I don't remember seeing any in  
the past.
