Hi Keith,
Thanks for taking this on! So how should we go about doing this so
you stay sane :)
1. Making sure new user questions don't go unanswered.
What would be a good period of time to wait before sending out a
summary of unanswered questions? 2 weeks? Monthly?
Some users will have time-sensitive questions (e.g. I can't sync
anymore.) I'm assuming these issues will be answered promptly on the
list.
2. Keeping end-user documentation up-to-date.
So maybe anyone comfortable editing the wiki should go ahead and
amend our documentation pages with how-tos and other useful
information that comes up on the list. Perhaps what you and I can do
is help direct people to the right pages. Review the pages once in a
while and make sure the terminology and layout are consistent as well
as add documentation that no one else has gotten around to adding.
- Ann (Norcross) has expressed interest in doing a real job on the
Intro-to-Chandler-Basics guide, so I imagine there will be much
coordinating with her once that gets started.
3. Maintaining a wiki page with the top 10 user issues.
What would this actually entail?
- Summarizing the top issues that come up every month? Perhaps this
is something you can work on with Delphine, since she will be doing a
fair amount of summarizing for the board and there should be overlap.
- Every 3-6 months, we could have a discussion on the list to see if
the top 10 list should be updated, basically send out a request for
nominations.
I imagine this will all make more sense when the re-arch gets to a
point where UI is being implemented! So maybe no action on this for now?
Best,
Mimi
