[chandler-users] feature: task evolution

Hi Giuseppe,

There was a discussion on the list a while back about the kind of
workflows you're describing. It was in the context of keeping track
of "sub-tasks" or next actions in the Notes field of a particular item.

Grant had a suggestion for how he works around the lack of a "formal"
way to track sub-tasks: http://lists.osafoundation.org/pipermail/
chandler-users/2008-January/001071.html

We would however like to add built-in support for evolving tasks (or
mini-projects). There have many discussions about this on both the
users list and the dev-list as well as the now retired design list.
There are a few bugs logged to track this functionality:
- https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12373

We haven't however had many people request to keep the item-creation
data around. Although, I can see how that would be useful.

Best,
Mimi
