Hi, Rick

It's not the intended behaviour, you'll be glad to know.

Because of this and other bugs (which I don't remember off the top of  
my head) we moved the calendar/triage-table toggle menu items off to  
the "Tools >> Select View" menu back in 0.7.2 or so. Is that how you  
managed to view your Dashboard as calendar?
