[chandler-users] Is Chandler the Successor to Lotus Agenda?

Thanks for the response.  I am not a programmer, just a plain old end user.  If the ability to parse information to categories on the fly is not a core part of Chandler's features, why the talk about it being the successor to Agenda?

Chandler doesn't auto-assign to collections (Agenda's "categories"), but 
if you create an item from the quick-entry bar (Ctrl-K), it will parse 
date/time information and create an event at the time that it detected. 
If you look at the archives of this mailing list of the last week or 
so, you'll see several other users asked for this exact feature and are 
considering writing their own plugin to implement it.
