friends at the OSAF and Chandler users (Chandlerians?),
Thanks very much for your efforts! Great idea, and the vision for Chandler sounds very good.
I suspect that I'm an example of your target audience - in addition to a knowledge & info intensive full-time 'main' job, I have 2 'side jobs' and 2 more active hobbies - several of which are information intensive. And I try to be fairly organized. As you can probably imagine, I urgently need some of what I understand to be Chandler's intended capabilities and features ;-).
As feedback/input from a member of your intended audience, please consider that I (and I suspect others) urgently need:
1) The capability to group, nest, or filter collections - otherwise there are simply too many useful collections / views.
2) The ability to run Chandler from a removable (USB) drive (flash or hard disk) since I use different computers, and not always connected to the Internet. (This might already work? I haven't tried this yet...)
Of course, I also need (a slightly lower level of priority/urgency for me) the ability to _sync_ my contacts (and calendar subsetS) between an intelligent, _portable_ PIM, and the several e-mail services, clients and tools that I use.
In the short term (since this capability isn't yet fully implemented in Chandler), I'm exploring a free service) called Octopus City) for my contact needs.
If you would, please consider these features when planning future releases Thanks again for your efforts, and for listening.
best regards,
Gregg
