Hi Mike,

Currently we do not have an up-to-date user manual.

However, you can find instructions on how to back up your data from  
Chandler Desktop to Chandler Hub here - http://chandlerproject.org/ 
Projects/GetStarted#Back%20up%20your%20Data%20and%20Access%20it

You do not need to change the name of the collection if you don't  
want to.

As for your 2nd question, all items in Chandler are editable, even  
sent and received email. So just click into the notes field of the  
message item to edit it.
