Of course, Mimi, it'd be great to have this story posted to the Chandler
Blog.
I downloaded the deb package for the latest version of screenlets from the
official site. If you have ubuntu, don't try just installing screenlets via
apt, the version included even with Hadry is an old version of screenlets
which does not have the feature to "convert" google gadgets to dekstop
gadgets.
Once you have installed screenlets from teh just downloaded deb, press
alt+f2 and enter "screenlets-manager". This will open the screenlets manager
application. Click Install, this will open a small Install dialog. Choose
"Convert Web Widget" from the list. Click Ok.

Now, another window will open. In the step 1 combobox, let it as is, with
"Google Gadgets". Click "Go to web page".

Search for Chandler in the google gadgets index. Once you have found it,
click in the "Add to your web page" button.

In the page that will be loaded, locate the "Get Code" button and click it.
It will show a textarea with some html code. Copy the whole code from this
box.

Now go back to the Convert Widget window and paste this code into the edit
box below the "Step 2 ... " label:

Give the widget a name (e.g: Chandler Quick Entry).
Click OK. Done!

Now, just double click the just created widget icon in the widget list (you
can filter to easily find it). You can also configure it to auto-start with
your system. You can even create a desktop launcher (shortcut) for it!
Great!
If you need any more info, don't hesitate to ask, Mimi!
Cheers,
Marcelo.
