Dear Chandler Users,
I was told to post issues here before cluttering the bugzilla list. I
don't want to create a new bug if my issue is known and solved.
I have used Chandler off and on in the past, starting with 0.6. I'm
excited for the upcoming release of 1.0, and I'm here to help as a beta
user. I want to use Chandler as my focal point for my information
management, both at work and in my family life. But enough chitchat,
let's get to the point:
After downloading 1.0rc and using the latest Hub, I have noticed a few
things that bother me:
1. In the hub, I can assign triage status with one click. In the
desktop, it takes two clicks to go from NOW to DONE. Why?
2. In the hub version, it takes two clicks to resolve a NOW item:
first click to mark as DONE, second click to "Save." Please remove the
Save button; Google Docs doesn't need it, and neither does Chandler,
esp. if you use Google Gears.
3. I am trying to get Chandler to use Firefox as my default browser.
I found a similar bug, and I have added to it. However, I hope that
someone already has a solution for this issue, in which case I will
happily mark the bug as RESOLVED, or should I say, DONE. (-:
- From reading the mailing list and bug reports, I am very happy to see
that the Chandler team is committed to modifying the software to meet
the needs (and expectations!) of the target user. Hopefully I can help
you by providing a real-world test case of Chandler in action.
Cheers,
James
