Mimi,

I am wondering if the Evernote plug in you talked about might help with the images in the notes field ?
This is the kinda thing I was thinking of too.

Thanks
Adam

Hey everyone Chandler developers are really great people!

I think it shows in the product and they back that up with direct communication with their users....good stuff!

Below is an example. I also added my replies in there for Jeff to see:

Hi TJ,

No formal interviews! Im normally in the bay area too - but right now im out of the country for a few months doing some work!

Well, this list is a good start! If you'd be willing to forward this exact message on the the chandler-users list it'd be great.

I started tinkering with chandler a few months back when i started to get overloaded with tasks...and the 3 level priority system and methodology was fantastic....it really cleared up how to organize things - since Im a terrible organizer and tend to be incredibly scattered.
Then more recently - i started sharing lists with my team ( i have a small web widget software company - with remote developers - in Portland - remote designers in France and remote developers in Tomsk Russia...Im in Russia now! )

Really, this is EXACTLY what we designed Chandler for! So nice to hear that it's working for you, despite its rough edges.

- ability to add images into the notes field

Does it have to be the notes field? We've talked about adding attachments, which isn't quite the same thing, but I wonder if it'd satisfy your use case?

Doesnt have to be the notes field - i just like the idea of seeing an image as you scroll thru a discussion on a toDo....many times we take quick snapshots of bugs or issues or shots of other sites as examples....this use is slightly different than say - a file attachment...I was thinking more in-line image in a discussion that was taking place. But ALSO -- an attachment would be great as well. In some instances we may have a central FILE that everyone needs or is working on -- in this case a simple attachment is great as a holder....for instance - we may have finalized graphics for a site or page - and that being attached to a toDO - allows developers to see the toDo - and grab the source - as well as see any potential notes about how to implement this toDo.

Does that make sense?

- ability to have discussions around todo items ( even if its just simply - users name left on last comment )

Yup, I remember that comment, seems like a great feature to add, not too hard to do.

- potentially the ability to have those discussion take place IN emails

Well, at the moment you can send out the most recent version of an individual item by email, but that's not quite what you're looking for, I understand.

- and just show up attached to the toDo item - for a running diary of that item

Yup, this would be really great, automatically associating a thread with an item.

- and the magical email style window panel that pulls up from bottom - and shows it all!

To be honest, I don't know when we'll get to these sorts of things, but clear feature suggestions like this are really great! Thanks for the engagement, keep the suggestions coming!

Thanks for listening!! :) You guys are great.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey
