There's an unsupported plugin that provides bi-directional access to 
Google Calendar, but unfortunately it doesn't support recurrence. 
Google decided to use a non-standard representation of deleted 
occurrences which makes doing recurrence with GData really painful.

If you aren't using any recurring events, the current plug-in might work 
for you, though.
