Hi, Sean
There's a bit of a history to this bug. It turns out that this used to
work better, but we had a nasty bug on Linux and Windows, where
sometimes modal dialogs could come up beneath the reminders window,
and freeze the app. See:
<https://bugzilla.osafoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11238>
So, to fix this bug (which is really a problem in wx, our windowing/
graphics library), I put in the best known workaround, which was to
make the reminders window basically be attached to the main Chandler
window. Unfortunately, this results in the behaviour you see.
So, programming-wise, I don't know how to get the best behaviour here.
There's no facility for playing a sound at the moment: it would take
some programming effort to add this.
