I'll chime in, since I've only been using Chandler for about 6 weeks.
And I'll admit, I haven't checked out the newest pages on the website.
When I started, I wanted a tutorial on:
- creating a new Collection
- adding an item to that collection
- configuring items
- working with the Calendar views
That's all ... as a raw newbie, I didn't want info on setting up a
Hub account, publishing / subscribing to Hub collections, configuring
e-mail ... I knew I'd want to learn that, but not right away.
As of early July, the Getting Started page was bogged down in all
sorts of intermediate and advanced features, without enough screen
shots of the simple stuff.
Another problem with that page (back then) was that is was completely
un-illustrated. Newbies need lots of screen shots, with call-outs so
they know what they are seeing.
Once people can do the basics with Chandler, then it's time to go to
the User Stories ... "oh, *that's* what Feature XXX can be used for!"
Demos on video are good for getting people to download software, but
much less so on learning to use it. I may be old-fashioned, but I
learn far better from static text.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction for New User info.
