[chandler-users] tasks missing???

OK, I agree with Rich. Where did New > Task go?
As I had replied initially below, it is my understanding Tasks were
converted into Starred Items, but perhaps that is not actually or
exactly the direction of the application. I'm confused. Was my initial
understanding correct? If so, why was New > Task removed from the Item
main menu and the Item context menu instead of being replaced with New >
Starred item? Thanks goodness, "/T" ("/task") in the Quick Entry (QE)
box still works to produce a task-stamped, excuse me, star-stamped item.
Is there a plan to remove the ability to create star-stamped items via
the QE function? Creating a new star-stamped item via a menu path now
requires an additional click of the mouse to add the star stamp to the
new item, which is particularly painful if said menu item was reached
via the keyboard only.
It seems to me that removing from the menus the ability to create items
with one of the possible item stamps effectively dilutes the advantages
of the metamorphic item design I have always associated with Chandler's
core innovative value. Would someone be able to clear this up more
effectively and completely than I did below?
