Thanks for the detailed information. So far as I know, there is
support in wxPython (the GUI library Chandler uses) for Chinese [1].
One possibility is that Chandler is doing something to interfere with
the input manager. What is the key combination you use to switch
language, and what happens (if anything) when you try it in Chandler?
